About

Intern Picture

I am a 25 year old nonprofit professional working in DC, but am a New Yorker from birth. I am really interested in international development and saving the world. I am also interested in the fact that your twenties is way harder than anyone ever told you they would be.
I love to write, read other people’s writings, and just explore my many career thoughts and options…as they keep multiplying, one by one.

I love to meet new people! Feel free to connect and we can talk:

I found your blog via your comments on Untemplater, and I just wanted to tell you I can completely relate to you! I am 29…college educated…with lots of student loans, etc…but all I want to do is travel, help people, help animals and have fun. It’s really hard to do that through the corporately templated life. I’ll look forward to following your path!

Thanks for your comment on the YSN blog. If I can help you along your path, please let me know. The 20′s are indeed a time of uncertainty, but I promise it all works out in the end. Be right on the inside and you’ll find the right path. :)

    Cheers!

Hi Beth, I came across your guest post from Small Hands, Big Ideas on philanthropy and love it! As a 23 year old, who is also trying to start a non-prof (localchoicescv.com) with my mom, I totally connect with what you are doing. I’ve learned that 20′s are hard, but it’s harder to not let them fly by without taking action. This is why I’ve decided to quit my ad agency job and pursue my writing career while traveling the world in search for the ultimate sustainable life! I’m looking forward to your writings and thanks for being a rare inspiration in the sea of many 20 somethings…

Thank you so much for stopping by Alexandria! I think it is great that you are doing something for good with your mom. It shows a real trend by young people to WANT to make the difference, and to try and have that desire overcome the negative energy. Best of luck and let me know if you ever want to exchange ideas sometime!
